Data Privacy & Protection-Mumbai

This is a senior leadership role combining practice strategy, client engagement leadership, regulatory advisory, and team development. The ideal candidate will serve as the engagement partner on complex, multi-jurisdictional privacy mandates while carrying P&L; responsibility for the practice.

Position: Senior Manager — Data Privacy & Protection

Location: Mumbai (Candidates must be based in Mumbai or willing to relocate)

Experience: 15-20 years in Data Privacy, Regulatory Compliance, or Legal/Advisory roles with a privacy focus

Notice Period: Candidates who can join immediately or within 60 days preferred

Key Responsibilities:

- Own the Data Privacy practice P&L;, including revenue, utilization, pipeline, and margin targets.
- Define and execute the service portfolio, covering DPDP Act advisory, GDPR compliance, HIPAA readiness, privacy-by-design, DPO-as-a-service, and DPIA/TIA frameworks.
- Lead complex, enterprise-wide privacy engagements and advise boards, CXOs, and legal teams on privacy strategy and regulatory exposure.




- Build and lead a high-performing team of Managers, Executives, and privacy specialists.
- Drive practice business development, lead proposal development, client pitches, and fee negotiations.

Must-Have Skills and Experience:

- 15-20 years of experience with a significant focus on data privacy, regulatory compliance, or privacy-focused legal advisory.
- Deep working knowledge of India's DPDP Act 2023 and a strong practical understanding of GDPR.
- Mandatory professional privacy certification such as CDPSE, CIPP/E, CIPM, or equivalent.
- Proven business development track record and P&L; experience in a skilled services or consulting environment.
- Professional qualification such as a Law degree (LLB), CA, or MBA.
