Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Data Governance Architect to design and implement enterprise-wide data governance frameworks, ensuring data quality, security, consistency, traceability, and regulatory compliance across enterprise data platforms.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Data Governance, Data Architecture, Master Data Management (MDM), Metadata Management, Data Lineage, and up-to-date cloud data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and implement enterprise-wide Data Governance frameworks, policies, standards, and operating models.
- Establish data ownership, data stewardship, and accountability across business and technology teams.
- Define and implement data quality standards, controls, KPIs, monitoring, and remediation processes.
- Lead metadata management, data cataloging, business glossary, and end-to-end data lineage initiatives.
- Design and govern Master Data Management (MDM) strategies for key data domains.
- Implement data classification, access controls, masking, and security policies to protect sensitive data.
- Ensure compliance with applicable data privacy and regulatory requirements.
- Work with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineering, architecture, security, legal, and compliance teams.




- Define governance processes for data discovery, quality assessment, lineage tracking, and audit readiness.
- Mentor teams and drive adoption of enterprise data governance best practices.

Required Skills
- 15+ years of overall IT experience.
- 6–8+ years of relevant experience in Data Governance, Data Architecture, or MDM.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise Data Governance frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience in Metadata Management, Data Lineage, Data Quality, Data Cataloging, and Data Stewardship.
- Experience with MDM concepts and implementation.
- Experience with governance tools such as Collibra, Alation, Microsoft Purview, Informatica EDC/Axon, Unity Catalog, or DataHub.
- Knowledge of Snowflake and/or Databricks.
- Strong understanding of RBAC, ABAC, data classification, masking, and data privacy.
- Strong SQL and experience with cloud data platforms.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have
- Experience in AI/ML data governance, data mesh, or federated governance.
- Relevant certifications such as CDMP, Snowflake, or Databricks.
- Experience in consulting or large-scale enterprise data transformation programs.
