Location: Remote (candidates in India / SE Asia time zones with NZ business-hours overlap MUST, NO EXCEPTIONS). If you cannot start 6AM IST onwards, the application will NOT be considered

About the Role

We're looking for a senior Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Architect to join a complex, multi-workstream implementation for a well-established multinational client. The programme is in its final stabilization phase — most core functionality is built and the focus now is on finishing touches, defect resolution, and closing a handful of high-priority gaps across billing, invoicing, and compliance. This is not a greenfield build; it's a high-stakes, time-critical push to go-live across several parallel workstreams.

What You'll Be Working On

- Subscription Billing — consumption/usage-based billing scenarios, including diagnosing and redesigning credit note and re-invoice (rebill) logic where current functionality has known defects
- Electronic Reporting (ER) and/or SSRS — customer-facing document design (invoices, credit notes, statements), including evaluating current tooling choices and recommending the right path forward
- Peppol eInvoicing — architecting the solution to meet an upcoming government eInvoicing compliance deadline, including format mapping (UBL/Peppol), Access Point integration strategy, and rollout scope




- Integration between D365 F&O; and CE (Customer Engagement) modules — customer agreements, contracts, and downstream billing processes
- Providing architectural oversight and technical direction across multiple concurrent workstreams (sales, billing, project operations, and more), working alongside existing functional and technical consultants

Key Responsibilities

- Own end-to-end solution architecture across F&O; and connected CE modules for the remaining programme scope
- Diagnose root causes of defects (code vs. configuration vs. process) and define the correct technical path forward, favoring standard/native functionality over custom code wherever possible
- Lead technical design for Peppol/eInvoicing compliance work
- Review and guide X++ development, ER/SSRS form design, and integration architecture
- Provide clear, decisive technical recommendations to stakeholders operating under tight go-live timelines
- Mentor and coordinate with existing functional and technical consultants on the programme
- Communicate effectively with business and technical stakeholders, translating complex technical trade-offs into clear options and recommendations

Required Skills & Experience





- 10+ years in Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365 F&O;, with demonstrated architect-level experience (not just functional or technical delivery)
- Strong hands-on experience with Subscription Billing module
- Deep expertise in Electronic Reporting (ER) and/or SSRS for complex, calculation-heavy document design
- Experience with Peppol/UBL-based eInvoicing standards and integration patterns (strongly preferred)
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex X++ code-level defects, not just configure standard functionality
- Experience architecting integrations between D365 F&O; and D365 CE (Sales/Customer Engagement)
- A track record of pushing clients toward standard functionality over unnecessary customization
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, go-live-critical workplace with multiple concurrent workstreams
- Excellent stakeholder communication — able to give clear, confident technical direction under pressure
