Role: Counter Sales / Retail Sales Executive

We are looking for a smart, confident, well-spoken, and customer-focused Retail Sales Executive to manage the Manipura Ayurveda Store at Homeland Mall, Kolkata.

You will be responsible for welcoming customers, understanding their requirements, explaining our products, generating sales, maintaining the store, and ensuring an excellent customer experience.

This is a customer-facing retail sales role, so good communication, product knowledge, presentation, and a positive attitude are extremely important.

What You Will DoCustomer Handling & Sales

- Welcome and assist customers visiting the Manipura Ayurveda store
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products
- Explain product benefits, usage, ingredients, and features clearly
- Demonstrate products whenever required
- Convert walk-in customers into successful sales
- Cross-sell and upsell relevant products
- Build positive relationships with customers

Store Management
- Maintain the store in a clean, organised, and attractive manner
- Ensure products are properly displayed and labelled
- Check product availability and inform management about low-stock items
- Maintain proper product presentation and merchandising
- Ensure the store reflects the premium image of Manipura Ayurveda

Billing & Cash Handling
- Handle customer billing and payments accurately
- Manage cash, UPI, card, and other payment methods
- Maintain daily sales and transaction records
- Ensure proper handling and reconciliation of cash and sales
- Coordinate with the accounts/management team when required

Product Knowledge
- Develop strong knowledge of Manipura Ayurveda products
- Understand essential oils, attars, wellness, aromatherapy, and personal care products
- Explain the correct usage and application of products to customers
- Stay updated about new products, offers, and promotions

Sales Target & Reporting
- Work towards achieving daily and monthly sales targets
- Maintain daily sales records
- Share regular sales and customer feedback reports
- Identify popular products and customer preferences
- Inform management about customer requirements and market feedback

Customer Experience




- Maintain professional and friendly communication with every customer
- Handle customer questions and complaints politely
- Provide a positive shopping experience
- Encourage repeat purchases and customer relationships
- Represent Manipura Ayurveda professionally at all times

Skills Required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in retail sales / counter sales
- Excellent communication and customer-handling skills
- Fluency in Hindi and English is mandatory
- Bengali communication will be an added advantage
- Confident and presentable personality
- Good sales and convincing skills
- Basic computer and billing knowledge
- Ability to handle cash and digital payments
- Ability to work independently and responsibly
- Willingness to learn about Ayurveda, wellness, and personal care products

Punctuality
- Working Hours: 11:00 AM – 8:30 PM
- Be present at the store on time
- Follow the assigned working schedule strictly
- Inform management in advance in case of absence or delay

Weekly Off & Leave Policy
- Sunday is a fixed working day for this position.
- The employee will be required to work every Sunday as per the store schedule.
- One weekly leave is allowed from Monday to Saturday, based on mutual discussion and store requirements.
- The weekly leave must be coordinated in advance with the management.
- Leave may be adjusted depending on staffing requirements and business needs.
- Sunday leave will generally not be available, as Sunday is a fixed duty day.

Store Discipline
- Keep the store clean and organised
- Do not leave the counter unattended without permission
- Handle company products and equipment responsibly
- Maintain proper cash and billing procedures
- Do not use the store or company resources for personal purposes

Customer Service
- Always greet customers politely
- Never argue with customers
