The academy delivers a world-class STEAM curriculum designed to complement school coursework and strengthen core computer science skills. Students gain hands-on experience in game, app, and web design and development, as well as data science and machine learning. iCodejr’s after-school programs focus on building practical, future-ready skills and providing learners with a competitive edge in technology-driven fields.

Role Description This is an on-site internship role for a Coding Teacher based in India.

The Coding

Teacher will lead interactive coding sessions for school-age learners, guiding them through structured lessons in areas such as game design, app development, web development, and introductory data science concepts. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans aligned with iCodejr’s curriculum, delivering clear and engaging instruction, monitoring student progress, and providing constructive feedback. The role involves using age-appropriate teaching methods, supporting learners with varying skill levels,



and collaborating with the academic team to continuously improve learning materials and classroom activities.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess solid Teaching and Training skills to deliver coding concepts effectively to students of different age groups.
- Candidates should possess solid Lesson Planning and Education skills to design structured, age-appropriate learning experiences.
- Candidates should possess clear and empathetic Communication skills to engage learners, explain complex topics simply, and interact with families when needed.
- Basic to intermediate programming knowledge (e.g., Scratch, Python, JavaScript, or similar) and familiarity with STEAM-focused learning environments.
- Ability to manage classrooms, encourage participation, and create an inclusive, safe learning atmosphere for all students.
- Currently pursuing or completed a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior tutoring, mentoring, or teaching experience with children or teens is an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills, reliability, and willingness to learn and adapt to iCodejr’s teaching methodologies.
