Role Description:

- The Co-founder (Finance & Accounts) role is a full-time hybrid position based in Bengaluru, with flexibility for partial work from home. This role is responsible for overseeing all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, accounting, and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Day-to-day tasks include monitoring revenue and expenses, preparing financial reports and dashboards, managing vendor and supplier payments, and optimizing unit economics for the e-commerce business.
- The Co-founder will work closely with other founding members to shape financial strategy, support fundraising efforts, manage investor relations, and contribute to pricing, discounting, and profitability decisions.
- The role also involves building and improving financial processes, implementing accounting systems, and ensuring transparent, accurate records that support scalable growth.

Qualifications:

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, evaluate business performance, and support data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with co-founders, suppliers, investors,



and internal teams, and to present financial insights clearly.
- Sales and marketing awareness to align financial strategy with revenue growth, customer acquisition, and brand-building initiatives.
- Research skills to analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, funding options, and regulatory changes impacting e-commerce and finance.
- Demonstrated experience in finance, accounting, or related functions, preferably in startups, e-commerce, or consumer brands.
- Proficiency with accounting software, spreadsheets, and financial modeling tools.
- Understanding of taxation, compliance, and statutory reporting relevant to Indian businesses.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business, or a related field; professional qualifications (CA, CMA, MBA in Finance) are an advantage.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, willingness to take ownership, and readiness to grow with an early-stage, mission-driven company.
- Alignment with vegan or ethically driven lifestyles is beneficial, with openness to the vegan market and its customer base.

Important role expectation:

- You will personally execute all accounting, bookkeeping, compliance and reporting work. No accounting assistant will be provided. This requires someone comfortable taking responsibility for both daily transactions and financial planning.

Ideal candidate:

- 3–5 years of relevant experience, including independently handling company accounts.
- Robust practical knowledge of accounting software, Excel, GST and TDS.
- Accurate, organised and dependable with deadlines.
- E-commerce or manufacturing accounting experience is an advantage.
- Interested in a long-term entrepreneurial role and aligned with our plant-based mission.

Compensation:

- A combination of monthly cash compensation and equity. The structure will be mutually agreed based on experience and commitment, with equity vesting over an agreed period.
