Role & responsibilities
- Draw and edit parts in AutoCAD
- Program relief, carving and cutting toolpaths in ArtCAM Pro and 3D toolpaths in DeskProto
- Set up and run the CNC router and CNC lathe on hard wood and other materials
- Select tools, feeds and speeds to suit the wood's grain and moisture
- Maintain the CNC machines
Preferred candidate profile
- ArtCAM Pro, AutoCAD and DeskProto skills
- Able to program and operate CNC woodworking machines
- Good understanding of how timber behaves while cutting
