Role Overview

Arlex Chem Private Limited is looking for an experienced in-house Chartered Accountant to take responsibility for accounting across its companies and six to seven factory locations. The candidate should have excellent accounting knowledge, strong communication skills and the confidence to independently handle discussions with external auditors and CAs.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage accounting across companies: Take ownership of day-to-day accounting, maintain accurate books and ensure consistent accounting practices across companies and factory locations.
- Finalise accounts and financial statements: Complete monthly and annual account closures, review accounting entries and prepare accurate financial statements.
- Oversee reconciliations: Review bank accounts, customer and vendor balances, intercompany transactions, receivables and payables.
- Handle factory accounting: Review inventory records, stock reconciliations, fixed assets, factory expenses and cost records.
- Manage tax and statutory compliance: Ensure timely preparation and coordination of GST, TDS, income tax and other applicable filings,



working with external consultants as required.
- Lead audit coordination: Prepare audit schedules and supporting documents, explain accounting treatments, respond to queries and resolve observations raised by external auditors and CAs.
- Prepare management reports: Provide regular updates on financial performance, cash flow, outstanding balances and key accounting issues.
- Coordinate with teams: Work closely with accounts staff and factory teams to obtain complete information, resolve discrepancies and meet reporting deadlines.
- Maintain financial controls: Identify accounting gaps, improve processes and safeguard confidential financial information.

Desired Candidate Profile

- Qualified CA with at least 10 years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
- Excellent hands-on knowledge of accounting, account finalisation, financial reporting and taxation.
- Experience handling accounts for multiple companies or factory locations preferred.
- Solid communication skills and confidence in dealing professionally with external auditors, CAs and management.
- Comfortable using accounting software and Excel for reporting and analysis.
- Organised, dependable and attentive to detail, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of deadlines.
