Company Description Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University (ABVMU) is a state government–run medical university based in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. Located in Chak Ganjaria City, ABVMU serves as the affiliating authority for government and private medical, dental, paramedical, and nursing colleges across Uttar Pradesh. The university was established under Uttar Pradesh Act No. 42 of 2018, with 2020 recognized as its operational start year following the appointment of the first vice-chancellor.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) role based in Bareilly. The CNA will provide direct patient care, including assisting with activities of daily living, monitoring vital signs, and supporting comfort and safety under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.

Responsibilities include maintaining patient hygiene, helping with mobility and positioning, and reporting changes in patient condition to the clinical team. The role also involves accurate documentation of care, maintaining a clean and organized patient environment, and adhering to infection control and safety protocols. The CNA will collaborate with nurses, physicians,



and other healthcare professionals to support high-quality, compassionate care and positive patient experiences.

Qualifications

- Recognized certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (or equivalent government-approved nursing assistant qualification) and current registration as required by local regulations.

- Foundational clinical skills in patient care, including taking vital signs, assisting with feeding, bathing, dressing, and mobility support.

- Knowledge of basic infection control, hygiene practices, and safety procedures in hospital or clinical settings.

- Robust communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

- Ability to follow instructions from supervising nurses and physicians, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate, legible patient records.

- Capacity to perform physically demanding duties, including lifting, repositioning, and supporting patients, while maintaining qualified conduct under stress.

- Commitment to ethical, gender-neutral, and non-discriminatory patient care, with a respectful and empathetic approach to diverse populations.

- Previous experience in hospital, nursing home, or clinical settings is preferred; familiarity with government or teaching hospital environments is an advantage.
