About the Role

Merits Capital is looking to establish a new business vertical in Digital Performance Marketing and is seeking an entrepreneurial leader to build, launch, and scale the business from scratch.

The role involves end-to-end ownership of business strategy, service development, client acquisition, campaign delivery, team building, revenue generation, and profitability. The ideal candidate will have prior experience building a digital marketing agency, studio, or business function from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

- Business Setup & Strategy: Establish the Digital Performance Marketing vertical, define service offerings, pricing models, target industries, business plans, and growth strategies.
- Business Development: Acquire clients, develop strategic partnerships, pitch services, negotiate contracts, and build a sustainable sales pipeline.
- Performance Marketing: Plan and optimize campaigns across Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and other relevant platforms, focusing on lead generation, customer acquisition, conversions, and ROI.
- Service Delivery: Develop capabilities across paid media, performance campaigns, landing pages, conversion optimization, analytics, remarketing, and marketing automation.
- Team Building: Recruit and lead a team across performance marketing, creative strategy, content, analytics, and client servicing, as required.
- Revenue & Profitability: Own business revenue, client acquisition, recurring income, budgets, operating costs, and profitability.
- Client Relationship Management: Ensure campaign performance, client satisfaction, retention, and account expansion.




- Technology & Innovation: Leverage AI, automation, analytics, and emerging digital tools to improve campaign efficiency and business scalability.
- Reporting & Governance: Establish KPIs, dashboards, workflows, and regular business reviews with company leadership.

Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in digital marketing, performance marketing, agency management, or digital business development.
- Preference for candidates from digital marketing agencies, performance marketing agencies, or creative studios.
- Proven experience building a digital marketing business, agency, service line, or function from scratch.
- Strong hands-on understanding of paid advertising, lead generation, campaign optimization, analytics, and conversion funnels.
- Demonstrated ability to acquire clients, generate revenue, manage commercial negotiations, and build recurring business.
- Experience in team building, budget management, campaign delivery, and client relationship management.
- Solid entrepreneurial mindset, commercial acumen, leadership, and execution capabilities.
