Westoceanic Services is an oilfield services company with 13+ years in offshore and onshore operations, headquartered in Mumbai with a subsidiary in Sharjah, UAE. We have supported crews on 30+ drilling rigs for international drilling contractors and national oil companies.

- Rig Operation & Maintenance – end-to-end O&M; of land and offshore rigs, including workover rigs
- Shutdown & Turnaround – complete turnaround execution for refineries, petrochemical and process plants, not just manpower

The role This is a revenue role, not a tender-desk role. You will open doors with drilling contractors, refineries and process plants, build relationships with decision-makers, and close contracts – both through tenders and through direct negotiation.

We want someone who has sat across the table from operations heads, maintenance managers and procurement teams, understands how shutdown and O&M; scopes are bought, and knows how to move a lead from first meeting to signed purchase order.

Key responsibilities

Business generation and closing

- Identify, pursue and close Rig O&M; and Shutdown & Turnaround contracts with drilling companies, refineries, petrochemical complexes and gas processing plants
- Build and own a qualified pipeline; take each opportunity from first contact through scope discussion, commercial negotiation and contract award
- Secure direct and negotiated business, not only public tenders
- Track upcoming shutdown calendars, rig contract awards and rig mobilisations to reach clients before requirements go to tender

Client relationships

- Develop relationships with operations heads, maintenance and turnaround managers, rig managers, and procurement and contracts teams
- Get Westoceanic registered and empanelled on client vendor lists and supplier portals
- Maintain regular client visits and site meetings; act as the client’s single point of contact through the commercial phase

Proposals and commercials





- Work with the operations team to understand scope, prepare techno-commercial proposals and build competitive pricing
- Lead tender strategy where tenders are the route in – go/no-go analysis, pre-bid queries, clarifications and negotiation – with tender documentation handled by the bid team
- Negotiate contract terms, rates, payment terms and variations

Market intelligence and reporting

- Map the Indian market for O&M; and turnaround opportunities: operators, EPCs, drilling contractors and competitors
- Maintain the CRM and share weekly pipeline and forecast reports with the Director
- Represent Westoceanic at industry events, conferences and client presentations

What we are looking for

Must have

- 5–10 years in the oil & gas industry, with at least 3 years in business development, sales or key account management for oilfield or plant services
- Hands-on exposure to shutdown / turnaround and maintenance – either executing them or selling them
- A proven record of closing service contracts, with deal sizes and clients you can talk us through
- An active network among drilling contractors, E&P; operators, refineries or process plants in India
- Working knowledge of how PSUs and private operators buy services: vendor registration, GeM and e-tender portals, rate contracts and direct awards
- Ability to read a scope of work and build a commercial offer with the operations team

Good to have

- Background in rig operations, drilling, rig maintenance or plant maintenance before moving into BD
- Experience selling manpower-plus-execution or full-scope service packages
- Contacts in the Middle East (UAE, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia)
- Degree in Mechanical, Petroleum, Chemical or Electrical engineering; an MBA is a plus

Compensation
- Fixed salary: As per market standards, based on experience and network
- Incentives: performance-linked incentive on contracts closed, uncapped for solid performers
- Travel: client and site travel reimbursed as per company policy
