Barista – Coffee Specialist

Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate coffee lover and skilled Barista who understands coffee beyond just making beverages. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of coffee beans, sourcing, roasting, brewing methods, espresso machines, and coffee preparation.

This role is for someone who genuinely enjoys coffee, understands its craft, and can help us create a strong coffee experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare high-quality espresso-based and specialty coffee beverages consistently.
- Have solid knowledge of coffee beans, origins, varieties, sourcing, roasting, and flavour profiles.
- Operate and maintain commercial espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment.
- Understand and manage espresso calibration, grind size, extraction, dosing, and milk texturing.
- Prepare different brewing methods such as pour-over, French press, cold brew, etc., as required.
- Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and beverage quality.
- Maintain and clean coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment regularly.
- Assist in coffee bean selection, sourcing, testing, and quality evaluation.
- Maintain proper inventory of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other bar supplies.
- Develop and suggest new coffee beverages and seasonal specials.




- Educate guests and team members about coffee, beans, brewing methods, and flavour profiles.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and beverage preparation standards.

Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience as a Barista, preferably in a specialty coffee shop, premium café, hotel, or resort.
- Genuine passion and knowledge of coffee.
- Strong understanding of coffee beans, sourcing, roasting, grinding, and extraction.
- Good working knowledge of commercial espresso machines and grinders.
- Strong understanding of espresso calibration and brewing techniques.
- Good knowledge of milk steaming and latte art.
- Ability to maintain equipment and troubleshoot basic machine/grinder issues.
- Good communication and guest-handling skills.
- Professional, well-groomed, and quality-focused.

Preferred
- Specialty coffee certification or professional barista training.
- Experience with specialty coffee brands or independent cafés.
- Knowledge of cupping, coffee tasting, brewing ratios, and extraction.
- Experience creating specialty coffee menus.

Location: The Whispering Woods / Sets in the City Department: F&B; / Café

Salary: As per experience and suitability.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
