Job Purpose:

The Purchase Manager will be responsible for managing the overall procurement function, ensuring timely availability of quality materials at competitive prices while maintaining robust vendor relationships and effective cost control

.Key Roles & Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement effective purchasing and procurement strategies.
- Manage the complete purchase cycle from vendor identification to order placement and delivery.
- Source and procure raw materials, packaging materials, equipment, consumables, and other required items.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, credit periods, delivery schedules, and commercial conditions.
- Ensure timely availability of materials as per production and operational requirements.
- Monitor purchase orders, delivery schedules, and supplier performance.
- Coordinate with Production, Stores, Quality, Finance, and other departments.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing vendors and develop new vendor sources.




- Monitor market trends, material prices, availability, and fluctuations.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, alternate sourcing, and purchase optimization.
- Ensure purchased materials meet required quality and specifications.
- Maintain proper purchase documentation and records.
- Prepare Purchase MIS, procurement reports, vendor reports, and cost analysis.
- Follow up with vendors for timely delivery and resolve shortages or delays.
- Handle vendor-related quality and commercial issues.
- Lead, guide, and supervise the Purchase Team.
- Ensure effective coordination between Purchase, Stores, and Production for uninterrupted operations.

Candidate Profile:

Candidates should have strong experience in Purchase & Procurement Management, Vendor Development, Vendor Management, Negotiation, Cost Control, Raw Material & Packaging Procurement, and Supply Chain Coordination.Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel, is required. Experience with ERP / Purchase Management Software will be preferred.
