Company: ANCONS School of Excellence (ANCONS Aerospace Educational Foundation)
Location: Hyderabad, Telangana, India (On-site, GMR Aerocity, Shamshabad)
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Target Batch Launch: January 2027
About ANCONS School of Excellence The ANCONS Aerospace Educational Foundation is launching an elite, highly specialized graduate training node in Hyderabad. Our flagship program is a 1-year Advanced Postgraduate Certificate in Computational Aerospace Engineering, contractually engineered as a 1+1 transnational twinning pathway. Our select cohort of exactly 24 elite students completes the first half of their program (15 credits) with us natively in Hyderabad before transferring directly into the Master of Science (MS) in Aerospace Engineering program at the Florida Institute of Technology (Florida Tech), USA.
Operating on a 100% computational, asset-light framework, our facility utilizes high-end, high-clock desktop engineering workstations running advanced standalone student and open-source multi-physics solvers. We are seeking a high-stamina, technically brilliant academic skilled to anchor this program as our primary full-time faculty leader.
Position Overview
As an Assistant Professor of Computational Aerospace Engineering, you will own the complete academic delivery, code auditing, and project mentorship for our 24 graduate students. To optimize machine density, you will lead two back-to-back shift rotations daily: a Morning Cohort (12 students, 08:30 AM to 01:00 PM) and an Evening Cohort (12 students, 01:30 PM to 06:00 PM), with a 30-minute system reset block in between.
Because our curriculum relies heavily on free standalone student licenses and open-source tools, your core challenge will be guiding students to achieve high convergence accuracy on highly optimized,
coarse-mesh 2D/symmetric configurations that remain strictly below commercial node limitations (e.g., Ansys's 512,000-cell boundary).
Key Responsibilities
- Synchronous Instruction: Deliver advanced, graduate-level lectures covering the mathematical and algorithmic foundations of solid-fluid mechanics, rigid-body flight dynamics, and rocket internal ballistics.
- Hands-on Lab Guidance: Supervise daily lab execution sprints on our dedicated 27" desktop workstations, ensuring students master grid-independence verification, topology optimization, and flight control law synthesis.
- Software Workaround Execution: Guide students to successfully partition structural and fluid geometries using symmetric boundary conditions, shifting heavy or dense multi-node tasks seamlessly into open-source frameworks.
- Portfolio Auditing: Implement rigorous grading rubrics matching US Graduate School criteria (4.0 GPA / B-grade threshold) and compile student project sheets into a pristine technical repository for review by Florida Tech’s graduate committee.
- Systems Integration Mentorship: Direct the final Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) capstone module, guiding students to link separate fluid, structural, and control loops via Python data arrays.
Core Qualifications & Technical Competencies
- Academic Credentials: Master of Technology (M.Tech) / Master of Engineering (M.E.) or Master of Science (M.S.)
in Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Mechanical Engineering from a premier institution (e.g., IITs, IISc, or top-tier global universities). A Ph.D. or active Ph.D. candidacy in a computational engineering specialization is highly preferred.
- Open-Source Solver Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in compiling, scripting, and executing multi-core parallelized tasks within OpenFOAM and analyzing datasets via ParaView.
- Commercial Software Fluency: Advanced hands-on experience with Altair HyperMesh, Ansys Mechanical, and Ansys Fluent student or educational suites.
- Controls & Systems Engineering: Practical experience in MATLAB/Simulink (control law optimization, Kalman filtering) and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) syntax via Cameo Systems Modeler.
- Programming Skills: Strong scripting capabilities in Python (NumPy, SciPy) and familiarity with open-source multi-body simulators like Gazebo.
- Stamina & Professionalism: High operational stamina to run back-to-back daily shifts, coupled with strong communication skills to act as the primary academic liaison for international university registrars.
What We Offer
- Compensation: A highly competitive, market-vetted annual salary bracket of ₹8,00,000 to ₹12,0,000 (₹8 Lakhs to ₹12 Lakhs) per annum, based entirely on academic credentials and tool proficiencies.
- Infrastructure: A clean, fully managed corporate workplace within a premium Regus serviced office suite featuring built-in utility redundancies, Tier-3 power backups, and high-speed network fabrics.
- Global Impact: The opportunity to be the founding face of an elite academic pathway that bridges India's top engineering talent directly into the US Space Coast aerospace ecosystem.
