Purpose

Responsible for design and development of tyres and independent handling of OEM development projects from RFQ evaluation to product validation and approval.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Handle OEM development projects from RFQ to final product approval.
- Review RFQs covering tyre size, application, load, speed, fitment, performance and customer requirements.
- Design/develop tyres including construction, dimensions, pattern/cavity inputs, materials and weight targets.
- Prepare/review product drawings and coordinate OEM drawing approval.
- Participate in design reviews and DFMEA.
- Coordinate prototype development, testing and product validation.
- Analyse test/field performance and recommend design improvements/corrective actions.
- Manage OEM sample submission, technical discussions, trials and approvals.
- Conduct benchmarking and value engineering for cost, weight and performance optimization.
- Coordinate with Manufacturing, Quality, Testing, Materials and Marketing for timely project completion.

Qualification

B.E./B.Tech – Mechanical / Automobile / Rubber / Polymer Technology or equivalent

tyre testing and validation.
- Knowledge of OEM development process, RFQ, DFMEA and APQP/PPAP.
- Exposure to FEA/CAE preferred.

- Good written and verbal communication skills, with ability to interact with OEM
- customers.
- Strong project ownership, planning and cross-functional coordination.
