Job Title: Assistant Manager-Data Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with expertise in PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MS SQL Server, ETL/ELT development, and legacy database migration. The ideal candidate will design and maintain scalable data pipelines, support data integration initiatives, and ensure data quality across systems.

Experience in Banking, Financial Services, or Accounting is preferred, with exposure to financial data, reconciliations, reporting, and transaction processing.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Develop and maintain database solutions using PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MS SQL Server.
- Perform data migration from legacy systems to modern platforms.
- Design data models and optimize database performance.
- Implement data validation, reconciliation, and monitoring processes.
- Troubleshoot data quality and integration issues.
- Collaborate with business users to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Maintain technical documentation and migration runbooks.
- Ensure data security, governance, backup, and recovery standards.
- Support financial reporting, reconciliations,



and audit requirements.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, migration runbooks, and data dictionaries.
- Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.
- Ensure data security, governance, and compliance standards are followed.
- Exposure to financial risk management data, risk reporting, and risk analytics will be an added advantage.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- 2+ years of experience in Data Engineering, ETL Development, or Database Administration.
- Strong expertise in PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MS SQL Server.
- Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, SSIS, DataStage, Airflow, or similar.
- Robust SQL and database performance tuning skills.
- Experience with database migration and modernization projects.
- Knowledge of Python or Shell scripting.
- Exposure to financial risk management data, risk reporting, and risk analytics will be an added advantage.
- Understanding of financial data models, reconciliations, regulatory reporting, or risk management processes will be an added advantage.
