Role Description The Assistant Fabric Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Tiruppur, supporting the fabric management function across sourcing, quality, and production coordination. In this role, the individual will assist in identifying and sourcing suitable fabrics, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring that deliveries meet required timelines and specifications.

The position includes maintaining fabric records, supporting test procedures in coordination with quality and lab teams, and tracking fabric utilization to minimize waste.

The Assistant Fabric

Manager will collaborate closely with merchandising, production, and quality teams to align fabric availability with order requirements and production plans. The role also involves monitoring compliance with company standards, supporting documentation for certifications and licensed products, and contributing to process improvements within the fabric department.

Qualifications





- Solid understanding of textile and fabric types, including knit and woven constructions, and basic knowledge of fabric properties and performance.
- Ability to coordinate with suppliers and internal teams, with solid communication and follow-up skills to manage timelines and requirements.
- Proficiency in maintaining data and documentation, including fabric inventories, test reports, and purchase records; basic computer skills (MS Office, ERP exposure is an advantage).
- Attention to detail in quality checks, color/shade matching, and specification adherence, with a focus on accuracy and consistency.
- Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple styles, orders, and fabric types in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Awareness of compliance, certifications, and buyer requirements related to fabrics and licensed products is an added advantage.
- Prior experience in a garment manufacturing or textile mill setting in a similar support role is beneficial but not mandatory.
