Role Description This full-time remote role is for an ASR and AI Transcription Specialist (English Language | wps 65) who will work with automated speech recognition (ASR) and AI-driven transcription tools to produce high-quality written content from audio sources. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing and correcting machine-generated transcripts, ensuring accuracy in grammar, punctuation, and formatting, and aligning output with client style guidelines.

The specialist will analyze audio quality, provide feedback on ASR performance, and flag recurring issues to support model improvement. The role also involves managing transcription queues, meeting productivity and quality targets, maintaining data confidentiality,



and collaborating with team members and supervisors through digital communication channels.

Qualifications

- Strong English language proficiency with excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation; ability to type at a minimum of 65 words per minute with high accuracy.
- Experience working with ASR or AI transcription tools and platforms; comfort with reviewing and correcting machine-generated text.
- Attention to detail and quality assurance skills, including the ability to identify errors, inconsistencies, and formatting issues in transcripts.
- Valuable technical aptitude, including familiarity with web-based applications, productivity software, and secure data handling practices.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and meet defined productivity and quality metrics.
- Strong listening skills and the ability to interpret different accents, speech rates, and audio conditions in English.
- Clear written communication skills and willingness to follow style guides, process documentation, and client instructions.
- Prior experience in transcription, captioning, linguistics, or related fields is beneficial; exposure to AI or machine learning environments is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in linguistics, communications, or a related discipline is an advantage.
