Role Description The Article Trainee will work on a full-time, on-site basis at the Mumbai office, supporting audit, accounting, and taxation assignments under the guidance of senior team members. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in statutory and internal audits, preparing working papers, maintaining books of accounts, and supporting the preparation of financial statements and reports.

The role involves compiling and analyzing financial data, helping with direct and indirect tax computations and filings,



and assisting in compliance-related documentation.

The Article

Trainee will also contribute to client communication, participate in training sessions, and help with research on accounting, tax, and regulatory developments relevant to client engagements.

Qualifications

- Enrolled in or eligible for Chartered Accountancy articleship with a recognized institute.
- Robust foundation in accounting principles, financial reporting, and basic auditing concepts.
- Interest in and aptitude for taxation (direct and indirect), including willingness to learn current laws and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and comfort with accounting software or ERP systems.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to draft clear working papers and basic reports.
- Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a structured approach to problem-solving and documentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a professional team environment and manage time across multiple assignments.
- High standards of integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to continuous learning and development.
- Prior internship or practical exposure in accounting, audit, or tax (if any) will be an added advantage.
