Who You’ll Work With

You will be part of the Strategy & M&A; team at Vortex Consulting Group, an upstream strategy and pre-deal consulting firm with hubs in New Delhi, Los Angeles, and Sydney. The team works with global consulting teams and senior leaders at Fortune 100 and other leading companies across North America, Western Europe, and APAC-Japan.

You will work alongside Associates, Senior Analysts and Analysts across engagements spanning commercial due diligence, corporate strategy, market entry, competitive strategy, strategic wargaming, and M&A; target screening. You will contribute to larger problem statements by owning defined pieces of analysis and supporting the team in developing clear, data-driven answers to strategic and investment questions.

As an Analyst, you will build strong foundations in consulting problem solving, market research, quantitative analysis, and client-ready communication while progressively taking greater ownership of individual workstreams.

What You’ll Do

- Support Associates and Senior Analysts in testing hypotheses and translating broader strategic questions into structured research and analytical tasks
- Own defined pieces of larger workstreams, delivering high-quality analysis and outputs against agreed timelines
- Support analyses across market sizing, forecasting, competitive benchmarking, customer analysis, company profiling, value chain analysis and industry dynamics
- Support M&A; target screening by researching companies, markets, competitors, business models, strategic fit, and growth potential
- Evaluate information critically, validate data and assumptions, and identify gaps or inconsistencies in research and analysis
- Build clear,



client-ready PowerPoint presentations and Excel-based analyses, translating findings into concise insights and supporting evidence
- Proactively flag questions, data gaps, or roadblocks and seek guidance to keep assigned workstreams on track
- Take ownership of professional development by actively seeking feedback and building consulting, analytical, and industry knowledge

About You

- Prior work experience of 1-2 years in strategy houses/ Big 4 / boutique consulting / corporate strategy / corporate development background is preferred
- Strong interest in strategy and commercial due diligence, with curiosity about markets, companies, competitive dynamics, and business model
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to quickly learn and apply new databases, research platforms, and analytical tools
- Strong research skills, with the ability to identify relevant information sources, assess data critically, and work through incomplete or ambiguous information
- Clear and structured written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and quality.
- Quick learner and dependable team player, with a strong ownership mindset, collaborative approach, and willingness to roll up your sleeves to solve challenging problems
- Exposure in International client’s geographies (North America/Western Europe/Asia-Pacific & Japan) will be considered favorably
- Strong academic record with a demonstrated ability to work with quantitative and qualitative information and derive meaningful insights
- Bachelor’s degree from premier institutes globally or India
