About the Role

Physical AI is DXC Engineering's approach to turning a measurable operational bottleneck into protected, repeatable robotic execution - using a closed loop of Live Twin, Sensor Platform, and Operations Management to validate, deploy, and scale in green & brownfield environments.

This role focuses on designing and developing AI-powered physical systems and robotics software, implementing real-time control and decision-making algorithms, and integrating advanced sensors and AI/ML frameworks to build robust, autonomous systems.

Responsibilities

- Design and develop AI-powered physical systems and robotics software
- Build real-time control and decision-making algorithms
- Integrate sensors such as cameras, LiDAR, GPS, and IMUs
- Develop computer vision and perception modules
- Train, test, and deploy machine learning models
- Work with robotics frameworks like Robot Operating System (ROS/ROS2)
- Implement motion planning and autonomous navigation systems
- Develop embedded and edge AI applications
- Optimize software for low latency and high reliability
- Test and validate systems in simulation and real-world environments
- Debug hardware-software integration issues
- Ensure safety, fault tolerance, and system stability
- Collaborate with mechanical, electronics, and AI engineering teams
- Maintain documentation and technical reports
- Monitor system performance and improve AI model accuracy
- Support deployment, updates, and maintenance of autonomous systems
- Use tools and frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and OpenCV
- Participate in research and innovation for next-generation physical AI solutions

Required Skills





- Advanced Python Programming - motivated to work on AI/LLM integration
- Embedded C/C++ - should have extensive hands-on experience with hardware
- Linux Environments - hands-on proficiency with Linux systems and Docker containerization
