Looking for a Senior Finance professional for a tech platform in Mumbai!

Responsibilities

1. Own monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, including MIS, P&L;, balance sheet and cash-flow statements.
2. Drive timely monthly book closures, reconciliations and variance analysis against budgets, forecasts and previous periods.
3. Develop financial dashboards, KPIs and management reports to support business decisions.
4. Establish and strengthen financial controls across revenue recognition, vendor accounting, receivables, payables, expenses, payments and approvals.
5. Develop finance SOPs, authorisation matrices and internal controls to ensure accurate, audit-ready financial records.
6. Oversee D2C and marketplace reconciliations, including settlements, commissions, logistics charges, discounts, refunds, returns and deductions.
7. Monitor channel-wise profitability, gross margins and contribution margins, identifying revenue leakage and cost optimisation opportunities.
8. Own cash-flow planning, rolling forecasts and working capital management, including inventory investments, vendor payments and receivables.
9. Oversee inventory accounting, valuation, product-level costing, landed costs and manufacturing-related expenses.
10. Partner with founders and department heads on annual budgeting, financial forecasting, variance analysis and financial modelling.
11. Ensure timely statutory audits, tax filings,



GST compliance and other regulatory requirements in coordination with internal and external teams.
12. Prepare financial reports and MIS for investors and the Board, addressing queries related to profitability, cash flow, margins and working capital.
13. Support founders with financial analysis for fundraising, strategic planning, business expansion and key commercial decisions.
14. Coordinate with banks and NBFCs on working capital facilities, funding requirements, reporting and documentation.
15. Collaborate with operations, procurement, sales and commercial teams to improve financial efficiency, cost controls and working capital utilisation.

Job Qualifications

1. 8-10 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting.
2. Mandatory experience working in a startup, scale-up or high-growth company.
3. Strong experience in financial controllership, accounting and MIS.
4. Experience managing monthly financial closures and management reporting.
5. Strong understanding of financial controls and accounting processes.
6. Experience with budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow management.
7. Strong Excel and financial modelling skills.
8. Experience working directly with founders and/or senior management.
9. Ability to operate effectively in a rapid-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
10. Experience in a D2C, e-commerce, consumer brand or retail business will be strongly preferred
