1. Job Summary

The Video Editor will be responsible for assembling recorded raw material into a finished product that aligns with the company’s brand and marketing goals. This role requires strong technical proficiency in editing software, a good sense of pacing and storytelling, and the ability to turn raw footage into engaging content for platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and web advertisements.

2. Key Responsibilities & Duties

- Editing & Post-ProductionEdit raw footage into polished videos, ensuring seamless transitions, proper pacing, and compelling narrative flow.
- Trim footage segments, organize raw media, and assemble the final sequence.
- Add music, sound effects, voiceovers, and mix audio levels to ensure high-quality sound.
- Color correct and color grade footage to maintain visual consistency and brand style.
- Insert motion graphics, lower thirds, titles, and end screens as needed.
- Create short-form content (Reels, Shorts, TikToks) by cutting longer videos into engaging highlights.
- Technical WorkflowManage and organize project files, assets, and raw media on shared drives/cloud.
- Render and export videos in multiple formats for various platforms (YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Maintain a clean and efficient post-production workflow, ensuring timely delivery.
- Stay updated with current editing software, plugins, and industry trends.
- Collaboration & Communication Liaise with the content team, scriptwriters, and videographers to understand project requirements.
- Interpret creative briefs and proactively suggest improvements to visuals or pacing.
- Incorporate feedback from stakeholders in a timely manner and make revisions efficiently.

3. Compulsory Qualifications :

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media,



Animation, Communication, or a related field (equivalent practical experience will also be considered).
- Editing Software Proficiency: Expert knowledge of at least one industry-standard editing software:Adobe Premiere Pro (Mandatory – most common)
- Or Final Cut Pro X / DaVinci Resolve
- Motion Graphics (Basic): Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects for basic animation, text overlays, and visual effects.
- Audio & Color: Ability to perform basic audio mixing and color correction within the editing software.

4. Experience Requirements

- Minimum Experience: 3–5 years of professional video editing experience .
- Portfolio: A strong portfolio/reel is compulsory – candidates without a portfolio will not be considered.
- Industry Preference: Experience in [YouTube, corporate videos, short-form ads, etc.] will be an added advantage.

- Time Management: Capacity to work under tight deadlines without compromising quality.

6. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Probation Period:

1. On-time delivery – 95% of projects delivered by the given deadline.
2. Revision handling – Maximum 2 rounds of revisions per project before final sign-off.
3. Quality standards – Zero major errors (e.g., missing subtitles, distorted audio, wrong aspect ratio).
4. Creativity – At least one proactive suggestion (e.g., a unique transition or visual hook) per project.
5. File management – 100% of raw files and project assets organized correctly on the shared drive.
