Assistant Store Manager / Assistant Manager – Retail

- Key ResponsibilitiesAssist the Store Manager in managing day-to-day store operations.
- Supervise and motivate the sales team to achieve sales and revenue targets.
- Ensure excellent customer service and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor store sales, conversion, average transaction value and other KPIs.
- Handle staff scheduling, attendance, grooming and discipline.
- Support recruitment, training and onboarding of new team members.
- Ensure proper visual merchandising and store presentation.
- Monitor inventory, stock movement, replenishment and stock accuracy.
- Coordinate with the warehouse and management team for stock requirements.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally.
- Ensure proper billing, cash handling and daily closing procedures.
- Monitor loss prevention, shrinkage and operational compliance.
- Prepare and share daily/weekly sales and operational reports.
- Maintain company policies, SOPs, hygiene and safety standards.




- Take charge of the store in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Candidate RequirementsGraduate preferred; candidates with relevant retail experience can also apply.
- 2–5 years of experience in retail operations, preferably in a supervisory or team-lead role.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good knowledge of sales, customer service and store operations.
- Ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Good numerical and analytical skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and POS systems.
- Versatile to work in shifts, weekends and holidays.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
