Store Executive – Engineering

Department: Engineering / Maintenance

Experience: 4–5 Years

Location: Plant -Bavla Ahmedabad

Role Purpose

The Incumbent will be responsible for managing engineering stores and ensuring timely availability, proper storage, and accurate inventory of maintenance spares, consumables, tools, and MRO materials required for smooth plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day operations of the Engineering Store, including receipt, inspection, storage, and issue of engineering materials.
- Maintain inventory of mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, utility, and maintenance spares.
- Ensure availability of critical spares required for uninterrupted plant operations.
- Maintain minimum/maximum stock levels, reorder levels, and critical spares inventory.
- Coordinate with the Engineering/Maintenance team for material requirements and spare parts planning.
- Raise material indents/purchase requisitions based on stock levels and maintenance requirements.
- Ensure proper GRN, material issue, stock transfer, and documentation as per company procedures.
- Maintain accurate physical and system inventory and conduct periodic stock verification/cycle counts.
- Identify slow-moving, non-moving, obsolete, and excess inventory and coordinate appropriate action.




- Ensure proper binning, labelling, identification, and preservation of engineering materials.
- Maintain records of tools, consumables, PPE, lubricants, bearings, belts, electrical components, refrigeration spares, etc.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Engineering, Finance, and vendors for material availability and discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with FIFO/FEFO wherever applicable and maintain good housekeeping and safety standards in the store.
- Support inventory audits and engineering spare reconciliation.

Key Materials

- Exposure Mechanical spares: Bearings, belts, chains, gears, valves, pumps, etc.
- Electrical spares: Motors, contactors, relays, cables, sensors, switches, etc.
- Refrigeration spares: Compressors, valves, refrigerant-related components, gauges, etc.
- Utility & maintenance consumables
- Lubricants, tools, PPE and general MRO items

Qualification

- Diploma / ITI / Graduate in Engineering or relevant discipline.
- Candidates with relevant experience in FMCG / Food / Dairy / Ice Cream / Manufacturing plants will be preferred.
- Experience4–5 years of experience in Engineering / Maintenance Stores.
- Solid exposure to MRO inventory and engineering spare parts management in a manufacturing environment.
