Job SummaryWe are looking for a detail-oriented Medical Record Typist to prepare, type, maintain, and organize patient medical records accurately and confidentially. The candidate will be responsible for entering clinical information, discharge summaries, investigation reports, and other patient-related documents into the hospital record system.

- Key ResponsibilitiesType and prepare patient medical records, discharge summaries, case sheets, reports, and clinical documents.
- Enter patient information accurately into the Hospital Information System (HIS/HMIS).
- Maintain and update physical and electronic medical records.
- Check documents for accuracy, completeness, spelling, and formatting.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other departments for missing or incomplete records.
- Ensure proper filing, indexing, scanning, and retrieval of medical records.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and privacy of patient information.




- Assist in preparing medical records for NABH audits and hospital inspections.
- Handle photocopying, scanning, printing, and document-related activities.
- Maintain proper records of medical documents issued and received.
- Follow hospital policies, procedures, and medical record management standards.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Medical Records Officer / MRD Manager.
- Skills RequiredGood typing speed and accuracy.
- Basic knowledge of MS Word, Excel, email, and hospital software.
- Valuable English reading and writing skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
