Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Facility Manager with a housekeeping, hospital or hotel management background to run our housekeeping contracts and lead our in-house cleaning team in Pune. You will manage ongoing and upcoming contract sites and the in-house team that delivers our deep cleaning bookings. This role does not manage vendors or marketplace bookings; those sit with the Category Manager (Operations).

Key Responsibilities

1. Housekeeping Contract Management

• Manage our ongoing housekeeping contracts and prepare for upcoming ones, from site onboarding to daily delivery

• Make sure each contract site is staffed, supplied and delivered as per the agreed scope and SLAs

• Be the point of contact for contract clients on site issues, feedback and renewals

• Do site surveys and manpower planning for new contracts

2. In-House Team Management

• Lead our in-house team, including the staff who deliver deep cleaning bookings

• Plan daily assignments, shifts, attendance and leave cover across contract sites and bookings

• Hire, onboard and train in-house cleaners and supervisors

• Maintain grooming, uniform, conduct and punctuality standards, and handle team discipline

3. Staff Training and Development

• Run induction training for every new staff member before they go to a site or a customer's home

• Train staff regularly on cleaning methods, machine and equipment use, chemical handling and safety

• Train staff on customer and client handling, communication, grooming and skilled conduct

• Train staff on package scope (inclusions and exclusions)



so there are no expectation mismatches on site

• Keep a training calendar and records, check skills after training and run refresher sessions where quality slips

4. Quality and Standards

• Define SOPs, checklists and work processes for contract sites and in-house deep cleaning jobs

• Make sure the team understands the scope (inclusions and exclusions) before starting any job

• Monitor quality through site visits, spot checks and client feedback

• Check that trained methods and safety practices are followed on site

• Investigate quality complaints on in-house jobs and take corrective action

5. Operations and Resources

• Manage inventory and equipment: machines, consumables and uniforms

• Maintain attendance, contract performance and team productivity reports

• Track cost per contract and suggest ways to improve margins and processes

• Escalate unresolved issues to the founders or operations lead

Requirements

• 4 to 8 years of experience in housekeeping, facility management or operations, preferably in hospitals, hotels, malls or corporate facilities

• Experience managing housekeeping contracts and leading large housekeeping teams

• Strong knowledge of cleaning processes, equipment, chemicals and safety practices

• Good communication in Marathi, Hindi and English

• Basic computer skills (Google Sheets or Excel, WhatsApp-based coordination)

• Comfortable with frequent site visits and handling client escalations calmly

• Based in Pune or willing to relocate

• Experience handling corporate, hospital or hotel housekeeping contracts

• Experience with client coordination, contract renewals and SLA reporting

• Familiarity with deep cleaning machines and quality audits
