Designation: Junior Multitechnician

Location: Powai, Mumbai

Reporting To: Engineering Supervisor / Facility Manager

Job PurposeTo assist the engineering and maintenance team in carrying out routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work to ensure the smooth functioning of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other building facilities.

- Key ResponsibilitiesPerform routine maintenance and minor repairs across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general civil work.
- Assist in troubleshooting electrical faults, lighting issues, switches, sockets, and other basic electrical equipment.
- Attend to plumbing complaints, including leaking taps, blocked drains, water leakage, and toilet flush repairs.
- Assist with basic maintenance of air-conditioning units, ventilation systems, and other equipment.
- Carry out preventive maintenance as per the maintenance schedule.
- Respond promptly to maintenance complaints from residents, guests, and internal departments.
- Inspect rooms, common areas, equipment, and facilities to identify maintenance issues.
- Maintain tools, equipment, spare parts, and maintenance records properly.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors whenever specialised repairs are required.
- Follow workplace safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work area after completing repair jobs.
- Report major faults, recurring breakdowns, and material requirements to the supervisor.




- Perform any other maintenance-related duties assigned by the reporting manager.
- Educational QualificationITI / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or a related technical trade preferred.
- Candidates with relevant hands-on maintenance experience may also be considered.
- Experience0–2 years of experience in building maintenance, hotels, serviced apartments, residential complexes, or facility management.
- Freshers with relevant ITI qualifications and a willingness to learn may apply.
- Required SkillsBasic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance work.
- Ability to identify minor faults and assist with troubleshooting.
- Good problem-solving and time-management skills.
- Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends and public holidays, as per the roster.
- Valuable communication skills and a service-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Safety RequirementsElectrical work must be undertaken only within the employee’s training, authorisation, and competence.
- Follow lockout/tagout and other safety procedures wherever applicable.
- Escalate major electrical, gas, structural, HVAC, or other hazardous faults to the authorised technician or supervisor.
- Never undertake high-risk repairs without appropriate authorisation and safety precautions.
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Timely resolution of maintenance complaints.
- Completion of preventive maintenance tasks.
- Reduction in repeat complaints and equipment breakdowns.
- Compliance with safety procedures.
- Proper upkeep of tools, equipment, and maintenance records.
