Position: Dental Assistant

Department: Dental / Clinical

Experience: Prior dental clinic experience is preferred.

- Roles and ResponsibilitiesAssist dentists during dental procedures and treatments.
- Prepare the dental operatory, instruments, and materials before each patient appointment.
- Ensure proper sterilization and disinfection of dental instruments, equipment, and treatment areas.
- Maintain infection control protocols and follow clinic hygiene and safety standards.
- Prepare dental materials and assist with procedures such as fillings, root canal treatments, extractions, scaling, crowns, and other dental treatments.
- Ensure all dental instruments and equipment are clean, sterilized, and ready for use.
- Assist in patient preparation, positioning, and comfort during dental procedures.
- Maintain and update patient records, treatment charts, and clinical documentation as required.
- Provide pre-treatment and post-treatment instructions to patients as directed by the dentist.
- Monitor and maintain dental supplies, instruments, and consumables, and inform the concerned person when stock is low.
- Ensure proper biomedical waste segregation and disposal according to clinic protocols.




- Coordinate with the front office team regarding patient appointments and treatment room readiness.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental clinic and treatment areas.
- Support dentists and other clinical staff to ensure smooth day-to-day clinic operations.
- Required Qualifications and SkillsDiploma or certificate in Dental Assisting, or relevant dental clinical training, preferred.
- Basic knowledge of dental instruments, materials, and common dental procedures.
- Understanding of sterilization, infection control, and biomedical waste management.
- Positive communication skills and a patient-friendly attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions, work in a team, and manage multiple tasks.
- Attention to detail, punctuality, and a professional approach to patient care.
- Preferred QualificationsPrevious experience working in a dental clinic is an advantage.
- Knowledge of chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry is preferred.
- Familiarity with dental equipment, materials, and treatment room preparation is desirable.
