Day-to-Day Production

• Prepare and review year-end statutory accounts under FRS 102 1A and FRS 105

• Prepare and submit corporation tax computations and returns

• Prepare and submit VAT returns on standard and other schemes

• Prepare partnership and sole trader accounts

• Submit RTI payroll filings and manage PAYE obligations

• Handle Companies House compliance and filing

Team Leadership

• Build, manage and be accountable for a growing team of accountants and bookkeepers

• Review, check and sign off work before it goes to clients

• Mentor and coach budding accountants through their professional development

• Set and maintain standard operating procedures across all service lines

• Manage workload allocation and ensure deadlines are met

Quality and Communication

• Own the quality assurance process: review standards, error tracking, continuous improvement

• Communicate professionally with UK clients, accountants and business owners

• Handle escalations and complex queries with confidence

• Provide regular operational updates to the senior management and clients

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field Proven experience as a Software Engineer or similar role Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python Experience with software development tools and methodologies Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Good communication and teamwork abilities
