1. Patient Care

- Prepare patients for dialysis treatment (weighing, vital signs monitoring, and assessment).

- Connect and disconnect patients to and from dialysis machines as per protocol.

- Monitor patients during dialysis for any complications and immediately report abnormalities to the Nurse/Doctor.

- Provide emotional support and basic patient education regarding dialysis procedures.

- Assist in managing emergencies during dialysis sessions.

2. Dialysis Machine Operation

- Prepare and prime dialysis machines before treatment.

- Ensure correct dialyzer and bloodlines are used as per prescription.

- Monitor machine parameters (blood flow rate, dialysate flow, UF rate, pressure readings).

- Disinfect and sterilize machines after each session according to hospital protocols.

- Maintain proper records of machine performance and maintenance.

3. Infection Control & Safety





- Follow strict infection control policies and universal precautions.

- Ensure proper disposal of biomedical waste.

- Maintain a clean and secure dialysis unit environment.

- Use PPE as per hospital guidelines.

4. Documentation & Coordination

- Maintain accurate treatment records and patient charts.

- Coordinate with Nephrologists, Nurses, and other departments.

- Report equipment malfunction or supply shortages promptly.

- Assist in stock management of dialysis consumables.

5. Equipment Maintenance

- Perform routine checks and minor troubleshooting of dialysis machines.

- Coordinate with biomedical engineering for repairs and preventive maintenance.

- Ensure RO (Reverse Osmosis) water system is functioning properly.
