Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Desk Expeditor (Mechanical) to support project procurement and expediting activities from Purchase Order placement through delivery of equipment, materials, and required documentation.
The ideal candidate should have solid experience in mechanical packages, rotary equipment, piping bulk, skids, and bought-out items, preferably within EPC/project environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Establish communication with suppliers and confirm Purchase Order receipt, production planning, and delivery commitments.
• Monitor supplier engineering/documentation schedules, manufacturing progress, and delivery timelines against project requirements.
• Act as the project representative for expediting activities and coordinate with suppliers to resolve delays and issues.
• Manage desk expediting activities from PO placement through final delivery of goods and documentation.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Construction, Project Controls, Procurement, Supplier Quality, and Logistics teams to identify critical items requiring expediting.
• Prepare and coordinate shop expediting assignments where required.
• Review, prepare, and distribute supplier/shop expediting reports and progress updates.
• Identify potential delivery delays and communicate risks to relevant project stakeholders for timely action.
• Participate in supplier meetings for critical equipment and ensure alignment on project expediting and delivery requirements.
• Expedite timely submission of supplier documentation required for engineering, project controls, and project finance activities.
• Monitor equipment and material deliveries to ensure availability in line with construction requirements.
