Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Workato Developer / Workato Admin to join an enterprise integration and automation team.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in designing, developing, testing, deploying, monitoring, and supporting complex integrations using the Workato Integration & Automation Platform .

The candidate should be comfortable working with Workato Recipes, Connectors, APIs, Webhooks, Databases, SaaS applications, enterprise systems, data transformation, error handling, monitoring, and production support .

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Workato Recipes and enterprise integrations .
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical integration workflows and field mappings.
- Integrate SaaS and enterprise applications using:
- Workato Connectors
- REST APIs
- SOAP APIs
- Webhooks
- Databases
- File-based interfaces
- Configure Workato triggers, actions, conditional logic, loops, variables, data pills, and transformations.
- Work extensively with JSON, XML, OAuth 2.0, API authentication, and data transformation .
- Build reusable Callable Recipes, Recipe Functions, Lookup Tables , and common integration components.
- Develop custom connectors using the Workato Connector SDK .
- Create, configure, and manage APIs using the Workato API Platform .
- Integrate cloud and on-premises applications using the Workato On-Prem Agent .
- Implement robust error handling, retries, alerts, logging, reconciliation, and monitoring.
- Troubleshoot failed jobs, integration failures, production incidents, performance issues, and data-quality problems.
- Manage recipe versions and deployments across Development, Test, UAT, and Production environments.




- Support production integrations and perform root-cause analysis for recurring issues.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation including:
- Technical Design Documents
- Integration Mapping Documents
- Runbooks
- Support Documentation
- Integration Specifications
- Collaborate with business analysts, application teams, developers, infrastructure teams, and stakeholders.
- Follow integration development, security, deployment, and support best practices.

Mandatory Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Workato Integration & Automation Platform .
- Strong experience developing and managing Workato Recipes .
- Experience with Workato Connectors and Recipe Functions .
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs and SOAP APIs .
- Experience with Webhooks and API integrations .
- Strong understanding of JSON and XML .
- Experience with OAuth 2.0 and API authentication .
- Experience with data transformation and field mapping.
- Experience with Workato API Platform .
- Experience with Workato Connector SDK / Custom Connectors .
- Experience with Workato On-Prem Agent .
- Strong understanding of triggers, actions, conditional logic, loops, variables, and data pills.
- Experience implementing error handling, retries, logging, alerts, monitoring, and reconciliation .
- Experience managing deployments across Dev, Test, UAT, and Production .
- Robust troubleshooting and production-support experience.

Integration Experience Experience integrating Workato with enterprise applications such as:
- SaaS applications
- CRM / ERP platforms
- Databases
- Cloud applications
- On-premises applications
- File-based systems




- REST/SOAP services
- Third-party enterprise platforms

Preferred Skills
- Experience with enterprise integration architecture.
- Knowledge of API lifecycle management.
- Experience with CI/CD and deployment automation.
- Understanding of cloud integration patterns.
- Experience with SQL/databases.
- Knowledge of integration monitoring and observability.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills.

Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should be:
- Hands-on with Workato development and administration .
- Strong in enterprise application integration and automation.
- Comfortable troubleshooting production integration issues.
- Capable of independently converting business requirements into integration workflows.
- Experienced in working with multiple applications and integration endpoints.
- Solid in API and data integration concepts.
- Good communicator with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
