Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Welding Engineer to provide technical support to customers, conduct welding trials and product demonstrations, prepare and review welding documentation, support vendor approvals, and resolve welding-related technical issues.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of WPS, PQR, WPQ, welding inspection, welding metallurgy, AWS, ASME and ISO standards, along with hands-on experience in customer technical services and welding applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide technical support and application solutions to customers for welding-related requirements.
- Conduct product demonstrations, welding trials, and application trials at customer/project sites.
- Prepare, review, and maintain WPS (Welding Procedure Specification), PQR (Procedure Qualification Record), and WPQ (Welder Performance Qualification) documentation.
- Support vendor qualification and approval activities.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve welding defects and application-related problems.
- Recommend suitable welding consumables, welding processes, and parameters based on customer requirements.
- Conduct welding inspections, technical evaluations, trials, and testing as required.
- Ensure compliance with applicable AWS,



ASME and ISO welding standards.
- Conduct technical training and product demonstrations for customers, welders, sales teams, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct regular customer and site visits for technical discussions, troubleshooting, demonstrations, and product trials.
- Handle customer technical queries and support resolution of welding-related complaints.
- Prepare trial reports, customer visit reports, technical reports, and other documentation.
- Coordinate with R&D;, Quality, Production, Sales, and customers to develop effective welding solutions.
- Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions for welding-related quality issues.
- Monitor industry developments and stay updated with welding technologies, standards, processes, and applications.
- Support the Sales team in technical discussions, customer presentations, and identification of new welding applications.

Required Candidate Profile

- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or Welding Engineering.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in Welding Engineering, Technical Services, Welding Applications, Welding Inspection, or Quality.
- Strong knowledge of WPS, PQR, WPQ, welding inspection, and welder qualification.
- Valuable understanding of AWS, ASME, and ISO standards related to welding.
- Sound knowledge of welding metallurgy, welding processes, welding consumables, and welding defects.
- Experience in welding trials, product demonstrations, vendor qualification, and technical troubleshooting.
- Experience in handling customer technical requirements and site visits.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and customer-handling skills.
