Role Description This full-time, on-site Veterinary Surgeon (MVSC) role is based in Chennai.

The Veterinary

Surgeon will perform clinical examinations, diagnose conditions, and provide medical and surgical care for companion animals and other patients as required. Daily responsibilities include conducting routine and advanced surgeries, prescribing appropriate medications, overseeing post-operative care, and monitoring patient recovery.



The role also involves maintaining accurate medical records, coordinating with laboratory services for diagnostic testing, and advising pet guardians on preventive care, nutrition, and follow-up treatment plans.

The Veterinary

Surgeon will collaborate with veterinary teams and partner clinics to ensure high standards of animal care and professional ethics.

Qualifications

- Strong competencies in Veterinary Surgery and related clinical procedures.
- Solid foundation in Veterinary Medicine and general Medicine for diagnosis and treatment.
- Laboratory Skills for interpreting diagnostic tests and collaborating with diagnostic laboratories.
- Pet Care skills, including handling, welfare, and preventive health guidance.
- MVSc (Master of Veterinary Science) in Surgery or relevant specialization from a recognized institution.
- Valid veterinary registration/license as per local regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work in a quick-paced clinical environment with attention to detail and patient safety.
- Effective communication skills for client education and team collaboration.
- Willingness to participate in continuous professional development and stay updated on current veterinary practices.
