Role Description The Vascular Surgeon will provide comprehensive vascular care, including outpatient consultations, inpatient management, and surgical interventions for a wide range of vascular conditions. Day-to-day responsibilities include evaluating patients, interpreting diagnostic studies, planning treatment, performing vascular surgeries and endovascular procedures, and participating in multidisciplinary case discussions.

The role involves working closely with cardiology, critical care, radiology, and other specialties to deliver coordinated, evidence-based care and optimize patient outcomes.



The surgeon will also contribute to quality improvement initiatives, adhere to clinical protocols, and participate in on-call duties as required. This is a full-time, on-site role based at SriKamatchi Medical Centre in Thanjavur.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Medicine with completed postgraduate training and recognized medical licensure.
- Specialized expertise in Vascular Surgery, including open and endovascular procedures for arterial and venous diseases.
- Clinical proficiency in Vascular diagnostics and management, including interpretation of imaging and non-invasive vascular studies.
- Experience working in the Operating Room environment, with adherence to surgical safety, aseptic techniques, and perioperative protocols.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Cardiology and other specialties in managing complex cardiovascular and vascular cases.
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications (e.g., MS in General Surgery with super-speciality training or equivalent in Vascular Surgery).
- Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care, clinical ethics, and evidence-based practice.
- Solid communication skills, ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, and willingness to participate in teaching and clinical audits.
- Prior experience in tertiary or quaternary care settings and familiarity with advanced imaging and cath lab environments is an advantage.
