U.S. Tax Preparer, Reviewer & E-Filer

Experience: 2+ Years The Tax Preparer converts client source documents into an accurate, complete, and review ready U.S. tax return.

Key Responsibilities

- Review client tax documents for completeness and accuracy.
- Analyze W-2s, 1099s, K-1s, brokerage statements, income records, and expense documents.
- Enter and verify tax data in qualified tax software.
- Prepare U.S. individual tax returns.

• Work with Individual Filing and Business Filing
- Prepare and review common schedules including:
- Schedule A Itemized Deductions
- Schedule C Business Income
- Schedule E Supplemental Income
- Schedule D Capital Gains and Losses
- Schedule 1 and other applicable schedules
- Identify missing or inconsistent information.
- Raise preparation queries and coordinate with the relevant team.
- Match source documents with information entered in the return.
- Perform completeness and accuracy checks.
- Identify errors and make necessary corrections before client confirmation.
- Maintain proper tax workpapers and documentation.
- Follow company quality-control and confidentiality procedures.




- Escalate complex tax issues to Senior Tax Analysts or Reviewers.
- Form 1065 Partnership returns.
- Form 1120-S - S corporation returns.
- Form 1120 - Corporation returns.
- Schedules K-1.
- Business income and expense classifications.
- Depreciation and fixed-asset schedules.
- Shareholder or partner distributions and contributions.
- Basic shareholder or partner basis considerations.
- Schedule L and related balance-sheet information when applicable.
- M-1 and M-2 reconciliations when applicable.

Preferred Skills:

- Minimum 2 years of experience in U.S. Tax Preparation/Reviewer and E-Filer in Individual and Business Filing.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
- Knowledge of U.S. federal and state taxation Business Taxation. .
- Practical experience with Form 1040 and preferably Form 1040-NR.
- Knowledge of W-2, 1099, K-1, and common tax schedules.
- Experience with professional tax software such as Drake is preferred.
