: Accountant – US Accounting & Budgeting

Location: Jalandhar, Punjab (On-site)

Salary: ₹30,000–₹50,000 per month

Working Hours: 7:30 PM – 4:30 AM

Job Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with strong knowledge of US accounting practices, budgeting, and auditing. The ideal candidate should have excellent English communication skills, strong analytical abilities, and experience managing financial records, preparing budgets, and supporting audit processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records.
- Handle US accounting processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare, monitor, and analyze budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
- Conduct financial reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing financial statements, schedules, and supporting documentation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable US accounting standards and financial procedures.
- Analyze expenses, cash flow, and budget variances to support management decisions.
- Coordinate with internal teams and US-based stakeholders regarding financial matters.
- Maintain proper documentation and ensure accuracy and confidentiality of financial data.

Required Qualifications & Skills




- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in accounting, preferably involving US accounting operations.
- Robust hands-on experience in budgeting, financial planning, and budget variance analysis.
- Practical experience with auditing, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Good understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP).
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with international teams.
- Willingness to work the night shift aligned with US business hours.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with US-based companies or clients.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting software.
- Experience supporting external audits, preparing audit schedules, and maintaining audit documentation.
