We are looking for an experienced Guest House Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of the company guest house at a construction project site. The candidate will be responsible for accommodation arrangements for project managers, engineers, consultants, clients, and visiting employees, along with housekeeping, food services, staff supervision, inventory control, and facility maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Guest House and Accommodation Management

- Manage the daily operations of the guest house at the construction project site.
- Arrange rooms and accommodation for project managers, engineers, consultants, clients, and visiting employees.
- Maintain room allocation, booking, check-in, and check-out records.
- Coordinate with the site administration team for daily and upcoming accommodation requirements.
- Ensure rooms are ready before the arrival of guests and senior management.
- Manage accommodation during project mobilization, peak construction activities, and official site visits.

1. Housekeeping and Cleanliness

- Ensure proper cleanliness and hygiene of guest rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, dining areas, and common areas.
- Supervise housekeeping staff, helpers, and cleaning personnel.
- Ensure regular changing and washing of bed linen, towels, and other essential items.
- Conduct daily inspections of rooms and common facilities.
- Ensure proper disposal of waste and maintain hygienic living conditions.

1. Food and Kitchen Management

- Supervise kitchen operations and meal arrangements for guests and authorized occupants.
- Ensure timely preparation and serving of breakfast, lunch, dinner, and refreshments, as applicable.
- Monitor food quality, kitchen hygiene, and cleanliness.
- Maintain records of grocery, vegetables, kitchen supplies, and other consumables.
- Monitor food consumption and minimize wastage.
- Coordinate with cooks and kitchen staff to ensure uninterrupted food services.

Staff Supervision

- Supervise cooks, housekeeping staff, helpers, and other guest house personnel.
- Allocate daily duties and monitor attendance, punctuality, and performance.
- Maintain discipline among guest house staff.
- Ensure adequate staffing for housekeeping, kitchen operations, and guest services.
- Report staff-related issues to the site administration department.

1. Maintenance and Facility Management

- Ensure the proper functioning of electrical appliances, air conditioners, plumbing, water supply, lighting, and other facilities.
- Report maintenance issues to the site maintenance or engineering team and follow up until resolution.
- Monitor the availability of drinking water, electricity, backup power, and other essential services.
- Maintain furniture, kitchen equipment, appliances, and other company assets.
- Ensure adequate stocks of cleaning materials, toiletries, linen, and other essential supplies.

1. Administration and Record Keeping

- Maintain daily guest registers, room occupancy records, and staff accommodation details.
- Maintain records of food expenses, groceries, housekeeping materials, and other operational costs.
- Prepare monthly expense statements and submit bills to the site administration department.
- Maintain inventory records of guest house assets, consumables, and equipment.
- Verify vendor bills and maintain supporting documents for expenses.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures for purchases, payments, and expense approvals.

1. Safety and Security

- Ensure compliance with company safety rules and site-specific safety requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness and secure access to all guest house areas.
- Ensure fire extinguishers, first-aid kits, and emergency contact details are available.
- Report safety hazards, equipment failures, and security concerns to the concerned department.
- Coordinate with site security for guest entry, visitor records, and after-hours access, as applicable.
