Role: Process Engineer

Job location: Thousand Lights, Chennai

Job Responsibilities:

- Develop key process deliverables, including PFDs, P&IDs;, UFDs, Heat & Material Balance (HMB), design basis, and data sheets.
- Perform process simulations using Aspen HYSYS/Aspen Plus for steady-state and energetic analysis.
- Conduct PSV sizing, relief system design, and depressurization studies in compliance with API 520/521 and ADNOC guidelines.
- Perform process calculations, including pump hydraulics, line hydraulics, and vessel sizing.
- Prepare process datasheets for pumps, heat exchangers, vessels, and coolers.
- Prepare Alarm & Trip list, Cause and Effect diagram.
- Preparation of Control Philosophy, Startup & Operating Philosophy, ESD Philosophy, Blowdown Philosophy.
- Carry out surge analysis, hydraulic calculations, and steady-state analysis.
- Develop operating philosophies, control philosophies, and Shutdown Philosophy.




- Review vendor documents, participate in Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE), and provide technical recommendations for process packages.
- Support and participate in HAZOP, SIL, 3D model reviews, and other process safety assessments.
- Ensure all deliverables comply with ADNOC standards, API codes, ASME, Shell DEP, and project-specific requirements.
- Coordinate with mechanical, piping, instrument, and safety teams for integrated design development.
- Contribute to schedule planning, progress reporting, and quality management within the process discipline.
- Coordinate with clients, third-party consultants, and engineering contractors.
