Electrical Designer Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed electrical design drawings, layouts, schematics, and documentation.
- Prepare single-line diagrams (SLDs), load schedules, panel schedules, cable schedules, and equipment layouts.
- Prepare Substation Equipment Layout.
- Develop lighting layouts and perform basic lighting calculations where required.
- Prepare cable routing Layout and electrical equipment layouts.
- Prepare Earthing & Lightning Protection Layout.
- Coordinate electrical designs with architectural, mechanical, structural, and other engineering disciplines.
- Develop 3D model for Electrical Systems.
- Participate in interdisciplinary design reviews and resolve design clashes and technical issues.
- Review design drawings and identify clashes, discrepancies, and technical issues.
- Incorporate engineering calculations and design information into drawings.
- Ensure drawings comply with relevant local regulations, international standards, project specifications, and client requirements.
- Revise drawings based on engineering comments, site requirements, and client/consultant feedback.




- Assist engineers in preparing technical specifications, cable schedules, and quantity take-offs(MTO).
- Support site teams by providing technical clarification and resolving drawing-related issues.
- Maintain proper document control and drawing revision records.
- Ensure all deliverables are completed within project schedules and quality requirements.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
- 2- 6 years of relevant experience in Electrical Design/Drafting, preferably with Oil & Gas EPC projects.
- Relevant experience in electrical design and drafting.
- Valuable understanding of electrical systems, drawings, and engineering principles.
- Knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and design practices.

Software Skills SP3D, E3D, Microsoft Office, Dialux for lighting design & Navisworks.
