Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Financial Reporting qualified with strong knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS and UK statutory financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in preparing and reviewing financial statements, managing month-end and year-end reporting activities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting internal and external audits.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare, review and analyze financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Manage monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting activities.
- Ensure compliance with UK statutory reporting requirements and applicable accounting standards.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, accruals and financial schedules.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Analyze financial results, investigate variances and provide explanations to stakeholders.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors and support statutory audits.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure adherence to internal financial controls.
- Identify accounting discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with finance, accounting and business teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting.





Required Qualifications & Skills

- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- 712 years of relevant experience in financial reporting or financial accounting.
- Strong hands-on experience with UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Good understanding of UK statutory financial reporting and annual accounts preparation.
- Experience in month-end and year-end closing, general ledger accounting and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Knowledge of financial statements, journal entries, accruals and provisions.
- Experience supporting internal and external audits.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines and work effectively with multiple stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

- Professional qualifications such as ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CA or CPA.
- Experience in FRS 102 and other applicable UK accounting standards.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or similar platforms.
- Exposure to multinational organizations or shared service environments.

Ideal Candidate Profile A finance professional with approximately 8 years of experience who has demonstrable practical exposure to UK GAAP, IFRS and UK statutory financial reporting, rather than only theoretical knowledge of these standards
