Roles and Responsibilities
- Ensure quality standards are met by conducting regular inspections and testing of transformers.
- Coordinate transformer manufacturing activities from core assembly to final assembly.
- Monitor manpower, material availability, machine utilization and production progress.
- Monitor winding operations for power, distribution and furnace transformers.
- Supervise tanking, fitting, oil filling and other assembly operations as applicable.
- Coordinate with fabrication, design, stores and testing departments.
- Ensure manufacturing activities comply with approved drawings, specifications and applicable IS/IEC standards.
- Practical knowledge of transformer manufacturing processes.
- Understanding of transformer drawings, winding data, insulation materials and assembly procedures
- Ability to coordinate with Design, Purchase, Stores, Quality and Testing departments.
