Job Title: Tool Maker / Tool & Die MakerJob Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Tool Maker to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining precision machine tools and equipment to fabricate, repair, and modify custom tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, exceptional blueprint reading abilities, and a deep understanding of metalworking, machining, and precision measurement.

Key Responsibilities:

- Tooling Fabrication & Assembly: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to construct custom tools, dies, jigs, molds, and fixtures to exact specifications.
- Machining & Setup: Set up and operate conventional and CNC machine tools (e.g., lathes, milling machines, grinders, drill presses, EDM) to cut, shape, and finish precision parts.
- Maintenance & Repair: Inspect, troubleshoot, disassemble, repair, and reassemble existing tooling and dies to minimize production downtime and maintain quality standards.
- Precision Measurement: Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, dial indicators, gauge blocks) to verify parts conform to strict tolerances.
- Material & Heat Treatment: Select appropriate tooling materials (tool steels, carbide, metals) and perform heat-treating processes (hardening, tempering, annealing) as required.
- Quality Assurance & Testing: Perform test runs with completed tools and dies to ensure optimal functionality,



making precise adjustments as needed.
- Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with design engineers, machinists, and production personnel to optimize tool performance and manufacturing efficiency.
- Safety & Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized work environment and adhere strictly to company safety protocols and OSHA standards.

Qualifications & Requirements:

- Education: High school diploma or GED required. Completion of a formal apprenticeship program, vocational training, or an Associate’s Degree in Tool & Die Technology / Precision Machining is strongly preferred.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Tool Maker, Tool & Die Maker, or Precision Machinist in a manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings, blueprints, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T;).
- Hands-on experience with manual mill, lathe, surface grinder, and CNC/EDM machinery.
- Robust working knowledge of shop mathematics, metallurgy, and cutting tool geometries.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform precise manual dexterity tasks.

Preferred Skills:

- Journeyman Tool & Die Maker certification.
- Basic CAD/CAM software knowledge (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam).
- Experience with stamping dies, injection molds, or automated production equipment.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
