Must-Have Skills

- 8+ years of software/data engineering experience with significant technical leadership exposure.

- Robust hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure Databricks.

- Strong knowledge of Data Engineering, ETL/ELT, SQL, Spark/PySpark and data modelling.

- Excellent programming experience in Python.

- Knowledge in building REST APIs, microservices and backend applications.

- Good understanding of frontend development and application architecture React/Angular/JavaScript/TypeScript or similar.

- Knowledge with Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.

- Knowledge of Git, DevOps, cloud deployment, monitoring and production support.

- Good knowledge of cloud-native architecture, distributed systems and scalable applications.

- Strong communication, stakeholder management and team leadership skills.

Good to Have

- Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect / Data Engineer.

- Experience with Terraform/IaC, Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions or similar tools.

- Experience with microservices, event-driven architectures and API gateways.

- Experience working directly with enterprise clients and managing multiple technical workstreams.
