Job Title: Technical Business Analyst – Data

Role Overview

We are looking for a Technical Business Analyst with a strong technical background and experience in data requirements, SQL, data profiling, and Agile delivery. The role involves working with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and data architects to translate business needs into clear data requirements and delivery artifacts.

Key Responsibilities

- Engage with DT subject matter experts and stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document data requirements.
- Collaborate with data architects to understand conceptual and logical data models.
- Write SQL queries to interrogate databases, join multiple tables, and profile data.
- Prepare source-to-target mapping documents, requirements documents, requirements traceability matrices, data quality requirements, and data contracts/schema requirements.
- Capture requirements related to Master Data Management (MDM) and data refresh approaches, including batch, streaming, Change Data Capture (CDC),



and Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD).
- Convert requirements into Epics, user stories, and Jira tasks.
- Document acceptance criteria, dependencies, Definition of Ready, Definition of Done, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans.
- Present requirements and findings clearly to stakeholders and leadership.

Required Skills

- Experience in data requirements elicitation, supported by a data engineering or technical background.
- Data modeling literacy, including an understanding of conceptual and logical models.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with data architects.
- Strong SQL and data profiling skills.
- Ability to produce transparent, comprehensive BA artifacts for data initiatives.
- Understanding of Master Data Management (MDM).
- Knowledge of batch processing, streaming, CDC, and SCD concepts.
- Data literacy and awareness of the AI/ML space.
- Strong experience working in Agile delivery environments.
