About the Role

We are hiring a Team Leader for our Accounts Payable and Check Writing team, supporting Personal Injury (PI) law firms in California.

In this role, you will lead a small team responsible for preparing and verifying checks. You will review every check before it is released for printing and take ownership of the accuracy of each batch.

The role requires strong attention to detail, sound accounting judgment, team leadership, and transparent communication with US law firm staff.

Key Responsibilities

- Verify every check before printing, including:
- Payee name
- Amount
- Date
- Memo
- Bank/account details
- Supporting documents and payment information
- Review checks for unusual or incorrect details, even when the information appears to match the supporting documents
- Lead, guide, and train the check writing and verification team
- Provide final review and sign-off on each check batch before printing
- Prepare, update, and maintain MIS reports using Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
- Perform data validation and reconciliation to identify discrepancies or missing information
- Communicate clearly with US law firm staff to confirm payment details and resolve discrepancies
- Flag mismatches promptly and provide a clear proposed solution
- Maintain accuracy, documentation, and internal quality-control standards

Requirements




- 2–3 years of experience in Accounts Payable, accounting operations, or a similar finance role
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including:
- Lookups
- Pivot Tables
- Data validation
- Basic reconciliation and reporting
- Working knowledge of Google Sheets
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Good written and spoken English
- Ability to communicate professionally with US-based clients or team members
- Good judgment and problem-solving skills
- Ability to identify unusual or potentially incorrect payments rather than relying only on supporting paperwork
- Ability to lead and support a small team

Preferred Experience Experience in any of the following will be an advantage:
- US Accounts Payable
- US check printing or check processing
- Personal Injury law firm accounting
- Trust accounting or IOLTA accounts
- US legal accounting processes

Role Details
- Location: Ahmedabad
- Shift: 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM
- Salary: ₹18,000–₹25,000 per month
- Role Type: Full-time
