Role Description The System Administrator L1 is a full-time onsite role based in Zirakpur, responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and supporting client IT environments. Day-to-day tasks include handling Level 1 support tickets, resolving common system and network issues, and escalating complex incidents to senior engineers as needed. The role involves performing routine system checks, applying basic updates and patches, and assisting with user account management and access control.

The System

Administrator L1 will provide technical support through remote tools, document resolutions, follow standard operating procedures, and contribute to continuous improvement of service quality. Collaboration with internal teams and clear communication with clients are essential to ensure timely and accurate issue resolution.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in System Administration and Information Technology for managing basic server, workstation, and user environments.




- Candidates should possess skills in Technical Support and Troubleshooting for resolving Level 1 incidents and service requests.
- Candidates should possess skills in Network Administration for managing fundamental network configurations, connectivity, and monitoring.
- Foundational knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), common productivity tools, and remote support platforms.
- Manage Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Intune, to support user provisioning, licensing, and day-to-day cloud service needs.
- Strong communication skills, customer-focused mindset, and ability to follow documented procedures and service-level agreements.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and prioritize multiple open tickets.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft/Windows administration credentials are beneficial.
- Experience in MSP or IT consulting environments and familiarity with ticketing systems and RMM tools is an advantage.

What We're Looking:

- For2–3 years of hands-on experience in system administration, IT support, or a helpdesk role
- Solid understanding of Windows OS, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 fundamentals
- Comfortable working with ticketing systems and structured escalation processes
- Transparent communicator who can explain technical issues to non-technical users
- MSP experience is a plus but not required
- Eager to grow into Level 2 responsibilities, with a genuine interest in expanding technical skills over time.
- Comfortable working night shifts as per IST time zone (5:30 PM – 2:30 AM for USA EST-aligned clients, or approx. 4:30 AM – 1:30 PM for AEST-aligned clients) and working onsite at the Zirakpur location.
