Core Responsibilities of a Construction Storekeeper

- Material Receiving &
- Inspection:

Unloading, verifying quantity and quality, inspecting for damage, and checking materials against purchase orders (PO) or delivery notes.

- Inventory Control &

- Recording:

Maintaining meticulous records of all incoming and outgoing items using ledgers or software. Conducting regular physical stock checks and reconciliations.

- Storage &

- Organization:

Properly arranging materials in designated areas (racks, sheds, open yard) for easy access, safety, and preservation (e.g., keeping cement dry).

- Issuance of Materials: Releasing materials to contractors or workers based on approved indents or requisitions.

- Inventory Management &

- Reporting:

Monitoring stock levels to prevent shortages, preparing daily/weekly stock reports, and informing engineers of material availability.

- Site Safety &

- Security:

Preventing theft, damage, and unauthorized access to the store area. Maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient storage setting.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
