Key Responsibilities

- Check structural steel and miscellaneous steel detailing work for accuracy and completeness.

- Review Tekla models, General Arrangement / Erection drawings, shop drawings and single-part drawings.

- Check member sizes, dimensions, levels, elevations, connections, bolt layouts, welds and fabrication details.

- Verify drawings against structural, architectural and contract drawings.

- Check stair, handrail, guardrail, ladder, platform and other miscellaneous steel drawings.

- Review connection details based on engineering drawings and project requirements.

- Identify clashes, missing information and discrepancies before drawings are issued.

- Ensure drawings comply with

AISC standards, project specifications and client standards

.

- Review RFIs, design changes and client comments and ensure they are properly incorporated.

- Verify material specifications, quantities and member marks.

- Coordinate with detailers, modellers, project managers and engineering teams.





- Perform final quality checks before IFA / IFC submission.

- Guide junior detailers and provide technical feedback where required.

- Maintain checking quality and reduce fabrication or site-related errors.

Mandatory Requirements

- Minimum 5 years of experience in structural steel detailing / checking.

- Strong knowledge of AISC standards is mandatory.

- Strong experience in structural steel and miscellaneous steel detailing

.

- Ability to independently check fabrication and erection drawings.

- Positive understanding of structural and architectural drawings.

- Knowledge of steel connections, bolts, welds, member orientation and fabrication requirements.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify modelling and drawing errors.

- Experience working on

US projects is strongly preferred
